Heru Hopes City and Kodam Jaya Strengthen Synergy to Keep Jakarta Residents Safe

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono accompanied by Jakarta Satpol PP, Arifin and Jakarta Political and National Unity Agency (Kesbangpol) Head, Taufan Bakri, attended and held debriefing for Kodam Jaya Unit Commander (Dansat) at Indonesian Army (TNI AD)'s Kodam Jaya Dansat Ceremony for 2023 Budget, at NKRI Rindam Jaya Building, Condet, East Jakarta, Monday (5/15).

It aims to unify Kodam Jaya's vision and mission in order to carry out their duties optimally, thus synergy and collaboration with other agencies or institutions, including Jakarta Provincial Government, can be maintained properly. It is also in accordance with the theme being carried, namely Improving Dansat Capabilities, to Realize the Professionalism of Soldiers, and TNI AD Units, as Patriots of the Republic of Indonesia in the Framework of Supporting the Success of the TNI AD's Main Tasks.

In holding debriefing, the Acting Governor hoped that the cooperation between Jakarta Government and Kodam Jaya will continue to be established consistently, even further strengthened for maintaining the security of Jakarta residents.

"Hopefully, they (Kodam Jaya) have the same spirit, the passion to protect the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), to protect residents. Thus, a sense of peace and security is a key guarantee for anyone who lives here, in this city that we love. Because, security in Jakarta will become a national barometer, and will always be a reflection for anyone," he expressed.

Aside that, he also ensured that the consistency of the synergy that had been established with Kodam Jaya could become the spearhead in securing the democratic party of Indonesian citizens, especially in Jakarta. It aims to smoothen elections in 2024 will run safely and peacefully.

"We have the same goal of securing and participating in the success of the Legislative Elections, Regional Head Elections, and the Presidential Election in 2024. Everyone definitely wants the elections to run safely, so earlier we coordinated to prevent various potentials that hindered the smooth running," he added.

It is also in line with what was conveyed by Pangdam Jaya Commander, Maj. Gen. TNI Mohammad Hasan. He mentioned, Kodam Jaya would maintain synergy with the Jakarta Government to bring security and public peace.

"Of course, we will support all Jakarta Government programs, as we are in Jakarta. Thereby, we will continue to synergize and collaborate on various programs, especially security issues," he stated.
